Our small but mighty team is passionate about helping families thrive. Together with our community, we put care and energy into every diaper shared, bringing relief and dignity to those who need it most.
Meet the Team

Erin Campbell
Executive Director and Founder
Erin Campbell started the Athens Area Diaper Bank in October 2015. She first learned about diaper need when her middle daughter was still an infant, and was horrified to learn about the struggle of diaper needs that so many families experience. Erin quickly searched for the local diaper bank in the Athens community…yet there was none! Erin then started hustling for diapers with friends and family, and quickly pulled together the best team of diaper do-gooders who together started the Athens Area Diaper Bank. Erin lives in the Athens area with her husband, three daughters, and dogs. She is armed with a PhD in cell biology, a great support system of family and friends, and a passion for helping families. Erin enjoys a dance party, a warm hug, and an organized closet.

Shona Foster
Operations Manager
Shona Foster joined the Athens Area Diaper Bank first as a board member and now serves as our Operations Manager. Shona grew up in South Georgia (Folkston) and attended Howard University for her undergraduate studies. She received her master's from UGA and has enjoyed careers in Human Resources and Training and Education. She is the proud mom of Noni and Isaiah and their dog, Daphne. When not working, Shona enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.

Michelle Brinson
Programs Manager
Michelle Brinson, a true Georgia native, traversed the state before finding her heart in Athens in 2004. Her journey led her to Georgia College in Milledgeville, where she met her husband, David. The two tied the knot in 2009, building a home filled with a menagerie of dogs, cats, chickens, and bees. Their greatest joy, however, comes from their three children—Singer, Silas, and Meriwether. Michelle champions Clarke County Schools as a room parent and serves as the Chair of the Teacher Appreciation Committee at Clarke Middle School. Though she stepped away from the professional realm 13 years ago, Michelle began her social work journey at The Athens Community Council on Aging. When not immersed in the world of social work or family life, you can find Michelle covered in clay at Good Dirt Studio. A lifelong gardener, she recently completed the Master Gardener Program, adding another badge to her green-thumb credentials. Beyond the studio and garden, Michelle's love for creating extends to the kitchen, where she enjoys cooking for loved ones.

Kelsey Ripley
Director of Development
Kelsey grew up near Atlanta before heading to Athens to attend the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies. She then married a native Athenian and began her career as a middle grades literacy teacher. A few years later, Kelsey transitioned into the nonprofit sector, where she has spent nearly a decade learning from kids, families, volunteers, and donors. Now a mother of two little kids herself, Kelsey has gained a deep understanding of the essential role diapers play in everyday life. She is proud to call Athens home and is passionate about partnering with the wonderful families in our community. Kelsey enjoys reading, running, and drinking her coffee while it's still hot.
